We are sponsoring a poetry contest with a prize. The District-4 Human Dignity Poetry Prize will be awarded to a resident within the district who creates an exceptional poem on the meaning of human dignity. As a component of our Dignity Agenda, the Poetry Prize will highlight perspectives of “dignity,” identity, and community through our neighbors. The deadline for submission is August 7th. Philadelphia Stories will facilitate the competition.

In partnership with Senator Art Haywood and the Regular fellows Foundation, a back-to-school celebration will be held at the Lonnie Young Recreation Center from 2pm-5pm.
