Virtual Advocacy Training – How to Run for School Boards
On Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 7 to 8 p.m., Senator Art Haywood and Dr. Damary Bonilla-Rodriguez, School Board Director of the East Stroudsburg Area School District, present a virtual advocacy training on how to run for school boards in PA and make positive changes in your community. Event partners include Committee of 70, the Governor’s Commission on African American Affairs, the Governor’s Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs, the Governor’s Advisory Commission on Latino Affairs, and Latino Victory Project. Panelists include: Julie Haywood, LaDeshia Maxwell, Stephanie Sun, Dr. Tyler Titus, and Justin Villere. U.S. Capitol 1/6 Commemoration
Join Senators Art Haywood, Vincent Hughes, Nikil Saval, and Rep. Mary Isaacson for the U.S. Capitol 1/6 Commemoration on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 2 p.m. The commemoration will be held at National Constitution Center, located at 525 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106. This nonpartisan, invite-only event will pay homage to heroes who lost their lives in the 1/6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and honor the brave first responders who helped lawmakers and employees to safety.
