Vote by Mail in District
The election office of the City of Philadelphia asked, and I agreed to allow for drop off and pick up of Vote by Mail applications at my Philadelphia district office for Philadelphia voters. The City Commissioners’ election office will pick up the vote by mail applications for Philadelphia voters from my office on Tuesday afternoon.
Drop off your vote by mail applications, not ballots, at my office on Monday, 25 May between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Tuesday, 26 May between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The city election office will pick up the vote by mail applications from my Philadelphia office. Your vote is your voice.
Montgomery County and Philly are Opening
Last week, Governor Wolf announced the reopening of the ten counties still in the red phase. Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lehigh, Northampton, Montgomery, and Philadelphia will move into the yellow phase on 5 June. Governor Wolf cited a Drexel University study that indicated 6,202 lives were saved and prevented 68,275 people in Philadelphia from needing hospitalization due to the 60-day stay-at-home order.
Reopening does not mean eliminating social distancing or going outside without a mask. We must continue to follow the safety guidelines laid out by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Please stay safe.
