Read to Succeed Program
Senator Art Haywood is back with his FREE signature summer reading program, aiming prevent the “summer slide” and promote literacy among our children.
Summer Reads: Read to Succeed is currently accepting students entering first, second and third grades for this year’s program, which will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 24-July 18 (Mondays through Thursdays) at the eight locations listed below. Parents and guardians can download the registration form at read2succeedphiladelphia.com/register. Submit completed registration form with recent report card via email to: [email protected].
Students will receive free breakfast and lunch each day, a free eye exam from Willis Eye Hospital, and two free pairs of glasses, if needed. We’re working in partnership with the School District of Philadelphia to ensure students will learn from research-based curriculum provided by certified teachers and activities that include STEAM-focused lessons. Sign your children up and help empower their continued learning!
